HCC building reopened after gas leak

HOUSTON A gas leak caused by a construction crew forced Houston Community College to close the Scarcella-Science and Technology Building at 10141 Cash Road in Stafford this afternoon. Students, faculty and staff safely evacuated the building.

The building was declared safe by the Stafford Fire Department at 1:20pm. Once the building is aired out, it will open for students, faculty and staff after 5:30pm and evening classes will resume as scheduled.
