At a detention hearing today, a judge decided to release the girl to her parents. We've learned the teen's parents say they will watch her 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and make sure she completes her studies so she's ready for the state tests.
It's not known what restrictions the teenager will have to follow with her release.
She's accused of killing her newborn son last April at Cedar Bayou Junior School in Baytown.
According to the medical examiner, the full term baby boy's throat was stuffed with paper and he received blunt force trauma to his head.
