Verdict reached in tampering trial

HOUSTON Prosecutors claim Cannon got rid of photos that were evidence in an assault case back in August, but the jury found him not guilty.

In that case, a woman arrested for allegedly scratching a deputy. That woman was allegedly a friend of Precinct 4 Constable Ron Hickman. She was released from custody before being charged.

If found guilty, Cannon could have faced up to 10 years in prison.
