Widow charged in husband's 1985 killing

HOUSTON Carolyn Sue Krizan-Wilson has been charged with murder in the 1985 killing of Roy McCaleb. That's according to court documents that dismiss her story of a barefoot suspect as an elaborate fantasy.

Her son, Greg Krizan, says his mother does not have an attorney and is not likely to post her $50,000 bail.

Krizan, a Houston police officer, said, "I don't think she did it."

Krizan-Wilson, a retired Houston police employee, told authorities that the barefoot man crept into her home and tortured her with hot wax and a coat hanger. She had told reporters that the man then took the gun she kept under her pillow and shot her husband, who was sedated as he recovered from back surgery.
