Check cashing van driver shot, killed

HOUSTON It happened around 1:30am as that driver was traveling on Clinton near the East Loop. Investigators say the shooters ran him off the road, then forced their way inside and ended up killing the driver after taking his money.

Police say these types of mobile vehicles are usually not armored.

The victim is in his mid 40s. Police say it appears he struggled with his killer before being shot.
