Family hurt in wreck after fireworks show

A family of four in a Mercedes slammed into a retaining wall after being cut off on the freeway. The accident happened on the East Freeway at Crosby-Lynchburg after the family left the downtown fireworks show last night. A Mercedes swerved to avoid another car and lost control.

A father and his teenage daughter were both taken to the hospital by Life Flight with serious injuries. They are in stable condition.

The mother and 10-year-old son in the back seat suffered minor injuries.
