Man falls from roof, dies on impact

HOUSTON It happened around 8:30pm on Blossom near Jackson Hill. He was on the roof of an apartment garage when the accident happened.

The victim and another person were trying to lift a rug onto the roof.

"One was down below and the victim was up on top trying to pull it," said Sgt. Robert Torres with the Houston Police Department. "The weight of the rug may have pulled him forward and off the edge of the roof."

The victim hit his head on the concrete driveway and died at the scene.
