Texans sign QB Brink

HOUSTON The 6-foot-2, 212-pound Brink was the 223rd selection in the 2008 NFL Draft from Washington State. Brink is the fifth signal caller taken by the Texans and the first since 2004, when Houston drafted QB B.J. Symons in the seventh round (248th overall).

Brink started his last 40 games dating to his freshman season at Washington State. Brink was the first Cougar to have two games in his career with five touchdown passes. He became WSU's all-time leader in career net yards with 10,628 (rushing, receiving and passing), passing Ryan Leaf (7,262), Jack Thompson (7,698) and Jason Gesser (9,007) last season.
