A hearing is scheduled today in the case against State Representative Boris Miles. The Houston Democrat has pleaded not guilty to two counts of misdemeanor deadly conduct. He was indicted back in April for two separate incidents in which he allegedly waved a gun at someone.

If convicted, he faces up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine for each charge.
