Memorial held for two slain children

HOUSTON Mourners watched as two small caskets were brought into a Clear Lake area church last night. The coffins symbolized the loss of the lives of 7-year-old Randy Sylvester, Jr., and his 3-year-old sister, Denim.

Their father, /*Randy Sylvester*/, Sr., is charged with their murders.

Last night, the mourners included some family members, but many in the crowd didn't even know the family.

"I'm just so heartbroken," said resident Mary Griffin. "My heart is heavy for the mother and the babies. My heart is broken over that."

The children will eventually be buried in their parents' hometown of New Orleans.
