Storms leave their mark on SE Texas

HOUSTON Five houses at Grand Park near Honeysuckle in Stafford had their roofs ripped off and fences knocked down. The weather also busted some car windows.

The cleanup has already begun in other parts of town, too. The winds from the storm knocked down several trees south of downtown at a mobile home community. Some people started chopping up the limbs that were on the ground.

But trees weren't the only things affected. One family has some repairs to do after a hole was created on the side of their home.

"It started shaking so bad, real bad," said storm victim Rebecca Ruiz. "Picture frames went all over the trailer and the lights went off."

A tree fell on one a nearby house, causing damage. There are no reports of serious injuries.
