Plan for Sam Houston HS approved

HOUSTON Six years of poor academic performance prompted the state to shut the school down. HISD's new plan for Sam Houston includes a ninth grade academy with college and career programs.

It also calls for a campus for 10th through 12th grades, which would feature a center for math, science and technology.
