The METRO bus was heading northbound on San Jacinto around 8am when witnesses say a woman driving a van didn't stop at the Hadley stop sign and careened into the METRO bus, sending the bus into the Advantage BMW storage lot.
All in all, 15 people, including the driver of the bus and the driver of the van, were taken to the hospital. The driver of the van also had a 2-and-a-half-year-old boy inside the van. Witnesses say he was OK, but a little shaken up.
There was a lot of damage to 15 or 16 new vehicles in the lot, as well as some employee vehicles, meaning a lot of cleanup ahead.
"Nobody was in them. That's the good part," said dealership manager Jason Laferriere. "Cars can be replaced."
Folks at the BMW dealerships say this isn't the first time a vehicle has gone into their storage lot because of an accident.
