Police chase ends in serious wreck

HOUSTON Bellaire police say they were trying to pull over a man for a traffic violation. He eventually stopped, gave the officer his driver's license and then took off again. The driver lost control near Merrick and Stella Link, crashed into a playground and then hit a fence.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. No one else was hurt.
