When the first attempt failed, police charge Turecek poured even more vodka onto his living room carpet. The second fire Sunday did an estimated $220,000 in damage.
Neighbors say the ex-wife had moved out of the house, which is under foreclosure. Turecek is charged with two counts of arson and is being held on $50,000 bond.
