Trucker fatally shot during hold-up

HOUSTON Police tell us the man was unloading fuel from a tanker truck into the tanks at a gas station on the North Freeway and West Gulf Bank late last night. A man walked up to him and demanded his money.

Investigators say the trucker pulled out some cash and got into a struggle with the robber. That's when the robber shot him several times and killed him.

The trucker's girlfriend witnessed the shooting. The gunman got away.
