Police: Man fatally shoots car passenger

MISSOURI CITY, TX Around 8:15pm, police say a driver jumped out of his car at Briargate near Rowell and started chasing and shooting at someone who had been riding in the vehicle with him. The victim was hit in the back of the head with a bullet.

"He was transported to Ben Taub Hospital where he passed away from his injuries," said Sgt. Robert Odom with the Houston Police Department.

The suspect reportedly jumped back in his car after the shooting and fled the scene.
