It happened overnight at The Cat Doctor on Westheimer and Stanford in the Montrose area around 1:45am. A woman who was driving a truck lost control when she was coming out of a curve.

Authorities say she was clearly intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. Her female passenger was allegedly intoxicated as well.

Authorities say the driver had a DUI ticket inside her vehicle. The passenger had just been released from jail on a DUI charge.

That information, coupled with the fact that someone hit the building, made the owner's nightmare even worse.

"It's scary. I mean, I don't know that I can comment too much on her, but I know she's going to be kind of in a secure location tonight, probably more secure than this building," said business owner Caroline Oeben. "Anyway, not a model upstanding citizen of our community."

There was extensive damage left behind. The waiting room was turned into a mangled mess. But the owner is hoping that she will be able to see her clients today. At least two exam rooms were not damaged.

All the cats inside the building were not harmed.

A couple of months a driver ran into the building next door to the clinic during the day. No one was injured in either accident.
