Elderly woman found dead inside apartment

PASADENA, TX Around 6:15pm, the woman was found dead inside a unit in the Jasmine Park complex on Pasadena Boulevard.

Firefighters think she was trapped in her apartment by the flames. The Houston Chronicle reports she was a 67-year-old woman who had had heart problems for years.

Arson investigators are looking into what sparked the deadly fire.
