Police say the car went airborne, flipped a couple of times and landed upside down.
Fire crews had to use the Jaws of Life to get the driver of the car out. Two people were injured. The injuries do not appear to be critical. Both drivers were transported to the hospital.
Authorities don't know if alcohol was a factor in the accident.
The accident hasn't caused any major problems on the freeway. Officials say the accident should be cleared by 6am.
