Hat-wearing robber holds up bank

PEARLAND, TX At 11:40am, Pearland officers were called to Moody Bank in the 1500 block of East Broadway. An Hispanic male entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller complied with the note and handed the robber some money from the drawer. The suspect left without further incident.

The suspect is described as aa Hispanic male, 30 to 50 years old, 5'10" to 6'2", 170 pounds, with a tattoo on the left side of his neck. He was wearing a white straw hat, sunglasses and a white long-sleeved shirt with thin blue stripes.

The suspect left the business in a red Chevrolet pickup with Texas license plate 66L-VB3 traveling west. Officers located the truck abandoned in the Chase Bank parking lot about a quarter mile west of Moody Bank.

"We take all robberies seriously whether a weapon was displayed or not. These are extremely dangerous individuals and anyone who has any information on this person needs to call us before someone gets hurt or seriously injured", said Sergeant Roy Castillo of the Pearland Police Department. "If you think you recognize this person, his clothes or his hat please call us. Any information may be the piece we need to put this investigation together."
