UT baseball defeats A&M again

COLLEGE STATION, TX The Aggies (42-13, 19-7 Big 12) scored both their runs in the first inning on a two-run triple by Luke Anders. Wood (4-3) shut them down after that, giving up two runs on four hits in nine innings. He struck out three and walked three.

Kyle Russell and Preston Clark each hit home runs for the Longhorns (33-19, 14-12). Russell had two hits and two RBIs, while leadoff hitter Michael Torres was 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

The loss went to Barret Loux (4-2), who gave up five runs, four of them earned, on eight hits in 6 2-3 innings. He struck out five and walked one.
