Firefighters put out the flames before they spread to the fuel in the tanker. The road was not damaged, and it reopened just after 3am this morning.
Big rig catches fire on South Loop
HOUSTON Police say the truck driver pulled over when he noticed smoke coming out of the engine area. That's when the truck burst into flames. The driver managed to escape and call 911.
