Bagpipes, a 21-gun salute, and the playing of "Taps" were part of the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office commemoration of Peace Officers' Memorial Day today in Richmond.The ceremony also included a roll call of fallen officers. Members of every law agency attended the event outside the Sheriff's Office. President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as Peace Officers' Memorial Day in 1962.
