Robbery suspects held up an auto parts store in north Houston, but it was cut short because of an alert officer. Investigators say four men went into an Auto Zone on East Tidwell near Airline late last night and demanded cash. At the same time, a man delivering pizza walked into the store. He was also robbed.

Minutes later, an officer passed by and the robbers scattered. They dropped the cash as they climbed a fence.

Officers recovered about $2,000 in cash and a getaway car in a nearby lot. The suspects got away.
