Carbon monoxide alarms have prompted HISD officials to cancel classes at one school on Tuesday. According to the district, the alarms went off at Challenge Early College High School during construction that was going on at the Houston Community College campus.

Students were immediately evacuated Monday at around 2:45pm when the alarms started going off. They then decided to call off classes for Tuesday.

The Fire Department and HISD environmental experts are inspecting the building and the area to determine more about what happened.
