Authorities say Castaneda was at the bar with his girlfriend when he apparently got into an argument with her. Police say he left the bar, accompanied by a female friend, when he shouted an unwelcomed remark at his girlfriend.
Police say a male heard the remark and confronted Castaneda and asked if he was talking about his sister. The suspect appeared to be related to the female friend accompanying Castaneda's girlfriend.
The suspect, along with two other males, began to assault him in the parking lot and fled when a victim's relative came outside to help.
The victim was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in an unknown condition.
The suspect vehicle is being described as a green 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe.
