Victim fatally stabbed over slashed tire

HOUSTON Police say it happened last night outside the Stonegate apartment complex on Bellerive at Stoney Brook. Officers say a man stabbed someone else's car tire. An argument followed, and then a man was stabbed in the chest.

The suspect got into another car with another man and drove off. He lost control, and hit three cars before getting away. Officers are confident they'll make a quick arrest.

"At this point there were a number of witnesses that saw it," said CP Abby with the Houston Police Department. "We don't have any charges filed yet, but we're working on that. The victim and witnesses all knew who the suspect was, so we should be able to put this whole thing together."

The victim's name has not been released.
