Boy made up kidnapping attempt

HOUSTON Police say this 11 year old, who we called Jose, admitted making up the story Monday about fighting off a man who tried to kidnap him as he walked to Dechaumes Elementary School. The boy told police he just wanted more attention from his mother.

Police did not charge the boy, but did refer the case to Harris County juvenile authorities.
