The 7-year-old says she'd just gotten off the school bus in the Fall Creek subdivision and began walking home. She says a strange man approached her, and told her that her mother was not at home. He also told the girl that he'd been sent to come and get her and he promised to take her right to her mother.
The child got in the man's car, they drove off and he later assaulted her. The suspect then dropped off the little girl about 2 hours later 20 miles from her home.
Earlier in the day, police believe someone tried to lure a 6-year-old into his car with money on the same street, but that girl escaped unharmed. That man is described as Caucasian, 25 to 30 years old, with a buzz or military style haircut. He may be driving a light gold-colored car with no hubcaps on the drivers side, and a temporary paper license plate.
