Man pinned beneath car at courthouse

MANHATTAN, NY The car went over the sidewalk of the state Supreme Court building in downtown Manhattan, hit a coffee cart and went up several steps before hitting the man.

The coffee vendor suffered minor injuries. The driver, his passenger and two other bystanders were also hurt.

The victim was pinned from about the mid-chest down and had blood on his face.

A few hours later, a pedestrian was hit by a taxi about 60 feet from the location of the first crash.
