Lucille Hollins' son, Glenn, has third degree burns over more than 95 percent of his body. His co-worker suffered less severe injuries.
"He's holding his own right now," said Lucillie. "He's a very strong young man and he has the will to live. And his friend he's doing fine. He's eating, sitting up, talking on the phone and everything."
Officials have not released a cause of the blast.
