Coreas' Parents and LULAC convinced the county to set up new crosswalk signals to prevent more accidents.
"It brings me great joy to know that in a few months, the kids will be out of school and they'll be able to utilize this pedestrian cross walk signal as they safely get to their park," said Patty Samarripa, president of LULAC council.
LULAC says they also want the county to put speeds bumps in the area.
