Comets re-sign center Snow

HOUSTON "Michelle's re-signing was very important to us," Thompson said. "She has been and will continue to be an integral part of the Comets. We believe the players we have assembled around her will allow Michelle to be a consistent, dominant force inside."

A six-season WNBA veteran, Snow was drafted by the Comets in the first round (10th overall) of the 2002 WNBA Draft out of Tennessee, and in 2003 earned the WNBA Most Improved Player of the Year honor.

Snow holds career averages of 9.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks. She has made four playoff appearance with the Comets (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006).

The Houston Comets tip-off their 2008 home opener against the Minnesota Lynx in Reliant Arena on May 27 at 7:30pm. For more information, go to www.houstoncomets.com.
