Producer thrilled when Britney wanted to audition

LOS ANGELES, CA Carter Bays tells USA Today that he thought he'd give the part to an up-and-coming actress. Instead, he says, he chose "the most downloaded person in the world."

He says Spears was "professional" and came across in the role as "very vulnerable and sweet."
