Officers say the couple started arguing. That's when the boyfriend allegedly pulled out a gun and shot her. Police say the man put the children and his girlfriend's body in his car then drove to his mother's house in east Houston.
Officers say he tried to commit suicide, but his mother stopped him. Police arrested him a short time later.
