The 21-year-old said in court Thursday he "was not thinking clearly" when he shot Franklin Gallimore Jr. and Grace Thorpe in April. The couple was divorced. Authorities say the elder Gallimore was at Thorpe's Elmont house to help her evict their son and his girlfriend.
The son's lawyer, Christopher Devane, declined to comment.
The girlfriend, 20-year-old Katherine Galatro, pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution and attempted criminal possession of a weapon. She has been sentenced to two years in prison.
