The officer was dragged down the road and even turned the steering wheel to avoid a crash. The officer eventually fell off the truck and injured his leg.
The driver was arrested and may face charges of aggravated assault of a peace officer.
Officer dragged by driver outside nightclub
HOUSTON
The officer was trying to move traffic along outside of Rich's nightclub on San Jacinto and McIllhenn at the time. Police say one driver was not responding to the officer's commands. When the officer opened the driver's side door of the truck, the driver suddenly sped off.
