Motorcycle passenger dies in freak accident

HOUSTON Police say it happened this afternoon, when a vehicle changed lanes on the feeder road off the North Freeway near Cavalcade.

While the vehicle never actually made contact with the bike, the motorcycle driver panicked and over-corrected. When the driver laid the bike down, the second rider fell off and slid under a stalled car. She died at the scene.

The motorcycle driver was not seriously hurt.
