Mets shut out Astros in spring training

The Astros were unable to get their bats going against Mets pitching in a 3-0 spring training loss on Sunday.The Astros were held to just three hits on Sunday, while Mets shortstop Jose Reyes proved to be the catalyst on offense. He went 1-for-3 with an RBI and scored a run in the leadoff spot.

Astros starter Jack Cassel, who took the loss, allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits, struck out three and did not issue a walk in three innings. Runlevys Hernandez gave up the Mets' other run in his three innings pitched. He did not give up a hit and had one strikeout but walked three batters.

Mets starter John Maine struck out three, walked one and allowed no hits in four innings.
