In Class 4A Region III action Saturday night, Wheatley erased a nine-point deficit to force overtime en route to pulling out a 75-73 victory over Yates, one of the nation's top-ranked teams.Joseph Franklin's basket put Wheatley ahead 73-71 with less than 30 seconds left in the second overtime and the Wildcats held on for the victory.Wheatley (30-5) advances to the Class 4A state semifinals in Austin. Yates, ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 5 in the nation, finishes its season 28-3.
