The man was taken by medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he's in critical condition.
Sword-wielding man shot by authorities
PORTER, TX It happened just before midnight at a home on Honeybee Street in Porter.
Investigators say a sheriff's deputy and a Precinct 4 constable responded to a 'suicide in progress' call at that house. When they arrived, a man ran out the door, charging at them with his sword and knife. Officers shot him multiple times.
