UH dumps Tulsa in C-USA matchup

HOUSTON McKiver went 10-of-18 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line. He scored 18 points on 3-pointers, going 60 percent from behind the arc.

Kelvin Lewis added 15 points for Houston (17-4, 6-1 Conference USA). Tafari Toney scored 13 and Lanny Smith had 11.

Ben Uzoh's 17 points led five players scoring in double figures for Tulsa (10-10, 2-6). Jerome Jordan led the Golden Hurricane with 11 rebounds.

Tulsa shot 43 percent from the field to 49 percent for Houston. Tulsa won the rebounding contest, 44-31.
