We're hearing from the son of a deputy constable shot twice last week. He says he forgives the man who put his father in the hospital. Harry Thielepape says he's heard from people all around the country, expressing concern for his father, who's recovering at Memorial Hermann Hospital. Corporal Harry Thielepape II was shot twice one week ago by a handcuffed suspect named Jesus Reyna. The deputy constable managed to shoot and kill Reyna.

Thielepape's son says his father is still critical, but is making steady progress.

"He's stronger than us," said Harry. "We're fighting just like he is, but he's a very strong man, very strong."

We're told the majority of well wishes for Thielepape are coming into the Precinct 6 deputy constables' website.
