In October, Legg's vehicle struck and killed Harris County Precinct 5 Deputy Constable Jason Norling along the Westpark Tollway.
Deputy Norling had been on the side of the road issuing a ticket when he was hit. Legg said he did not see the officer.

HOUSTON (KTRK) The grand jury no-billed Jim Legg on charges of negligent homicide, but they did indict him on a Class B misdemeanor of making an unsafe lane change, causing bodily injury.
