A house fire in Houston has left four people hurt -- including a firefighter with critical injuries. The cause of Monday morning's blaze is sought. Investigators are looking into whether a space heater being used in the garage, to help keep the family's two dogs warm, sparked the fire.

Officials say a man got his wife and infant daughter out of the house, but he suffered minor burns during their escape.

Three firefighters were injured when part of the roof collapsed. Two were being treated for minor burns, while officials say the severely injured firefighter suffered from smoke inhalation.

The family's two dogs survived, but one of the pit bulls was treated for burns.
