World Bank security units working with law enforcement officials found no indication of explosives in a search of buildings the bank owns or in which it leases space, a spokeswoman for the bank said Friday. The building is located near the White House. Meetings there of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have been frequent targets of street protests.

A World Bank statement says law enforcement officials are investigating the threat and says the closure is just a precaution.
