Vandals target youth baseball team

HOUSTON (KTRK) Vandals have hit Dixie Little League's concession stand at Ingrando Park in southeast Houston several times in the last month. The thieves stole gloves, bats, and balls from the stand and even burned a fence. The league says the vandals did $7,000 in damages.

"It's not getting them anywhere, doing this and hurting us," said one team supporter.

Another said, "It hurts the parents. It hurts the kids. It hurts everybody."

Parents are working with police to improve security at the park. They're also trying to raise money for new equipment in time for the season.
