Man says he shot his sister, turns out no one was shot or injured, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man told police he shot his sister in southeast Houston, it turns out no one was shot or injured, HPD says

At about 5:58 p.m., the Houston Police Department responded to a call from a man saying he shot his sister, HPD said.

HPD has units on the scene located at 1300 Hackney Street with the suspect barricaded, police say.

Upon arrival, ABC13 learned no one was shot or injured. HPD said it was a boyfriend and girlfriend, not a brother and sister, despite initial reports.

One person is in custody, but it is unclear whether they will be charged.
