The Harris County Sheriff's Office confirmed the incident happened at Uptown Motorwerks in the 3800 block of Louetta Road.
The sheriff's office said the incident appears to be accidental.
HCSO did not immediately give any other information about what led to the incident or whether the victim is an employee of the auto repair shop.
An investigation is underway into the incident.
